About our Toile Aprons:  Once only available to royalty and the  wealthy, this 17th century fabric design never seems to fall out of favor.  A mainstay of interior decor, toile is a paradox. While the prints are often highly detailed, almost to the point of seeming "busy", the two tone color combination creates a calming effect, resulting in both an interesting and eye pleasing pattern.  No longer relegated to wall paper or furniture, toile is readily available in home accessories and seen on fashion runways.  Our Toile Aprons celebrate the timeless elegance  of this  fabric. It allows us to bring some 17th century charm into our 21st century kitchens. Our Toile Aprons, each handcrafted in our Maryland studio,  are generously sized measuring approximately 34" long and 29" wide.  Our children's aprons are miniature versions of our adult aprons right down to the last detail.   They measure approximately 19 ½" long and 15½"  wide.
